Background:
The US-UK Educational Commission purposes to foster mutual understanding
through educational links between the UK and United States. Cardiff University
offers its own Fulbright Scholarship for postgraduate students, in organization
with the Fulbright Commission. There is one Fulbright-Cardiff University
scholarship available per academic year. In addition to the Fulbright-Cardiff
University Award, Fulbright scholarship holders can also apply to Cardiff
University as per the normal Fulbright process. The scholarship holder will obtain
a fee waiver to the value of one year’s international tuition fees, appropriate
to one year program or the first year of a longer master's or PhD program at
Cardiff University. The scholarship holder will also obtain a stipend of
£10,000 from the Fulbright Commission.

Offers fellowships for U.S. graduating seniors,
graduate students, young professionals and artists to study abroad for one
academic year and the Program also includes the English Teaching Assistant
component.

Foreign Student Program
Enables graduate students, young professionals and
artists from abroad to conduct research and study in the United States. However,
some scholarships are renewed after the initial year of study.

Sends American scholars, professionals, and artists
abroad to lecture and/or conduct research for up to a year.

Visiting Scholar Program
Brings foreign scholars, professionals, and artists
to lecture and/or conduct post-doctoral research for up to a year at U.S.
colleges and universities.

Fulbright Classroom Teacher Exchange Program
Offers educators to exchange teaching positions
with a teacher from another country for one semester or academic year.
The
Distinguished Fulbright Awards in Teaching Program
Recognizes and encourages excellence in primary and
secondary classroom teaching in the U.S. and abroad.
The Fulbright
Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program
Provides opportunities for young English teachers
from overseas to refine their teaching skills and broaden their knowledge of
American culture and society while strengthening the instruction of foreign
languages at colleges and universities in the United States.
