Erasmus Mundus (MEEES) Scholarship



Backgrounds: The MEEES program is an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course, aiming to provide higher-level education in the field of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology where the graduate students involved in this Erasmus Mundus Masters course have the opportunity of following 18-month MSc programs on either Earthquake Engineering or Engineering Seismology. In addition, the proposed EM Masters course envisages also the possibility of students following an 18-month study program that leads to the attainment of a Master’s degree on Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology.

Application Deadlines

Category A Scholarships are available to third-country applicants. The deadline for application is the 6th of February at 4:00 p.m. CET. It is noted that every application to the MEEES program, succumbed by a third-country national within this deadline
Category B scholarships are available to European applicants. The deadline for application is the 6th of February 2012 at 4:00 p.m. CET. It is noted that every application to the MEEES program, submitted by a European national eligible for this scholarship within this deadline.
Consortium scholarships are available to applicants of any nationality. The deadline for application is the 27th of April 2012. All applications previously submitted for Category A and Category B scholarships will be automatically considered also as an application to the Consortium scholarship program.

Application Requirements

1.      University Degree, or past professional experience, in Civil Engineering.
2.      Letters of reference submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
3.      Through the online application procedure, applicants must provide electronic copies of the following documents:
a)      academic certificates
b)      curriculum vitae
c)      English language certificate (see below)
d)      a score of at least 88 (internet-based exam), 230 (computer-based exam), 570 (paper-based exam) in the TOEFL test or a score of 6 or more obtained with IELTS.
