Background: Founded
in 1766, Rutgers University is the eighth oldest college in America. Rutgers is
also the only public university in New Jersey in the Association of American Universities (AAU).
AAU institutions are North America’s 61 leading research universities,

programs. Rutgers and Princeton are New Jersey’s only AAU institutions. As
the southernmost of the three regional campuses that comprise Rutgers, the

Eligibility
Rutgers-Camden
offers conditional admission to academically qualified graduate applicants.
Applicants who do not meet the University’s English proficiency requirements
may apply for conditional admission. Conditionally admitted students may
satisfy their English proficiency requirements by either successfully
completing one of our pre-approved English language programs or achieving the
requisite scores on the TOEFL or IELTS exam. English language and entrance
examinations (if required*) must be fulfilled in order for a student to

Scholarship
Graduate students
are eligible for research and teaching assistantships as well as scholarships.
Regarding tuition, The Wall Street Journal’s SmartMoney magazine also
provides financial support. Graduate tuition varies by program.
